Connections
 
RISD’s Department of Art Design Education recognizes the importance of artist-teachers remaining as closely connected to discipline content as is possible. Such a connection to one’s discipline both informs pedagogical practice and most certainly establishes a framework for teaching practice that involves continuing professional development.
 
With this in mind, RISD MAT students are called upon to regularly contribute throughout the Program to an electronic forum in which the student and her/his peers explore issues surrounding art and design.
 
In this section of the Program Portfolio the MAT student presents an overview of the personal connections (beyond course work) she/he has made to the discipline of art and design.
