RISD MAT Program Portfolio

Welcome to my RISD MAT Program Portfolio, which is a required component of the MAT Degree Project. This portfolio provides comprehensive documentation of my work and experiences in the Department of Art + Design Education’s cohort teacher preparation program during the academic year 2005-2006.

The portfolio provides a profile of my personal background and experiences as an artist linked to my philosophy of teaching art + design to students in elementary and secondary school settings. Additionally, for each course in the program, I provide samples of evidence, which demonstrate my proficiency in meeting the Rhode Island Beginning Teacher Standards. Further, beyond the required coursework, I provide documentation of evidence that showcases my involvement in community-based teaching and how I have throughout the MAT Program maintained personal connections to the discipline of art & design.
