Davies Design
Connection: Wednesdays 2:30pm - 4:00pm
The goal of the Davies Design Connection Studio is to provide students with the opportunity to develop creative thinking and problem solving skills in the context of a college-based design studio. In the Davies Design Connection Studio students work with three different types of designers: a graphic designer, a product designer and an architect.
The Davies Design Connection Studio takes place at RISD in space provided by RISD’s Art Design Education's Community Studio. The studio meets on Wednesday afternoons from 2:30pm to 4pm. Students develop their creative thinking and problem solving skills in the context of design projects that encompass hands-on brainstorming, produce re-design, package structure design, graphic design and architecture. Additionally, students participating in the Davies Design Connection Studio have the opportunity to attend RISD’s annual Spring Apparel Show.
