As sophomores in Apparel Design, we were asked to design with recycled materials other than fabric. I was inspired to create an innovative garment that would leave no carbon footprint whatsoever after use.
I achieved this by using 100% post-consumer waste paper embedded with perennial wildflower seeds, generously sponsored by Botanical Paperworks.
This paper is ordinarily used for stationery and packaging, but I used it to develop the prototype of a wedding dress useful beyond its intended, transient purpose.
